Sarla Aviation and Arrow Aircraft Sign MoU to Democratise Air Travel in India

What if flying in India wasn’t a privilege?
What if it was accessible to everyone from remote towns to bustling city centres?

In a shared vision to make this a reality, Sarla Aviation and Arrow Aircraft have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on building the future of affordable, accessible air mobility for India. This MoU was signed by Payal Satish, Vice President Business Development & Strategy at Sarla Aviaiton and Tanya Singh, Business Development Manager at Arrow Aircraft.

Headquartered in New Delhi, Arrow Aircraft is one of India’s leading aviation companies, offering aircraft charters, sales and acquisitions, and aircraft management services. With offices in Delhi (HQ), Mumbai, Kolkata, and Sharjah (UAE), the company operates 24×7 charter services across the country, including popular helicopter pilgrimages to destinations such as Kedarnath and Amarnath.

Arrow has also represented major global aviation brands such as Gulfstream, Beechcraft, and HondaJet, giving it a deep understanding of both the Indian and international aviation markets.

Arrow Aircraft’s extensive real-world aviation experience will be instrumental to Sarla Aviation’s development journey as we design, prototype, and test next-generation aircraft tailored to India’s unique operational realities.

Together, both companies aim to bridge the gap between innovation and implementation, ensuring that aircraft are designed not just for technological excellence but for practical, everyday use, with the goal of commercial operation once ready.

What this MOU enables:

  • Operational feedback and insights: Arrow Aircraft will provide key feedback to Sarla Aviation on the ongoing design and development of its aircraft and systems, offering input from a customer and operator perspective.

  • Prototyping and testing collaboration: Both teams will work closely during prototyping and flight testing to ensure Sarla’s designs align with real-world market needs and use cases.

How this benefits India:

  • Democratising air travel: By designing aircraft around operational realities and local use cases, Sarla and Arrow are working toward making air travel accessible, practical, and affordable for millions of Indians and not just a privileged few.

  • Aircraft built for Indian conditions: With Arrow’s insights into India’s skies, diverse terrains, and passenger needs, Sarla’s aircraft will be built for reliability, safety, and efficiency in real Indian environments.

This partnership marks a significant step toward redefining air mobility in India, bringing the country closer to a future where flying is not a luxury but a daily possibility of connecting people, cities, and opportunities like never before.
